VIP Experience

An Evening on the River.

To close out Day 1 of the summit, the Triskele Labs team is hosting a private river cruise aboard Aquarius Charters; a relaxed, scenic evening with an indoor cigar bar lounge, an open rooftop deck, and bespoke catering throughout, as the Brisbane skyline lights up around us.
Being in Brisbane for AHECS also gives us a genuine chance to catch up with people we don't see often enough; if you're based in Brisbane or nearby, this evening is as much an invitation for you as it is for anyone in town for the summit.
This is a private, invitation-only Triskele Labs event with a small guest list.

Overview

What to Expect

A cigar bar lounge with a fully stocked bar and comfortable seating, a tranquil front bow for relaxed conversation, and a rooftop deck with 360° river views - including the Story Bridge lit up at night. Bespoke gourmet catering throughout the cruise, with a Bluetooth sound system setting the mood.

Please Note

This is a private charter on open water - comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing is recommended, and the rooftop deck may be affected by wind or rain on the night. The indoor lounge is available throughout as an alternative.

Who Should Attend
  • Clients and Prospects Who'd Enjoy a Calmer, More Scenic Evening
A quieter alternative to a high-energy night out, well suited to unhurried conversation.
  • A Mix of Seniority Levels
The boat's quieter and livelier spaces suit both a senior, intimate group and a broader mix.
  • Brisbane-Based Contacts
You're welcome whether or not you're attending the summit itself.

The Conversation - What's Actually Worth Talking About

Between sessions, we'll have a few genuinely current cybersecurity topics on hand to spark conversation - not a presentation, just a way to get past small talk if the room needs a nudge. A few we're planning to raise:

01

Navigating by Instrument: Continuous Monitoring vs. Reactive Security

A river changes with every tide and every season - you can't navigate it safely by memory alone, you need to be reading it constantly. Most institutions' attack surfaces work the same way: static point-in-time assessments miss what's actually happening right now.

  • Where has continuous monitoring actually changed an outcome, versus just generating more alerts?
  • What would it take to move from an annual security review to something closer to real-time visibility?

02

Charting Unfamiliar Water: Emerging Threats Nobody's Fully Mapped Yet

Every experienced skipper still checks the charts before entering water they haven't sailed before. The threat landscape facing higher ed right now has plenty of unfamiliar water - AI-enabled attacks, nation-state interest in research data, and supply chain risk all move faster than the maps get updated.

  • What's the threat your institution is least prepared for right now, if you're honest?
  • Where are you finding good intelligence on what's actually changing, versus vendor noise?
