Triskele Labs News: People and Culture Updates | Published: 26 May 2026
Following the completion of Triskele Labs’ first internship program, we’re pleased to share feedback from participants that highlights the impact of real‑world exposure, hands‑on learning, and expert mentorship. Insights from the Semester 1 2025 cohort of five interns reflect how the program helped them develop practical, job‑ready cybersecurity skills, and build professional confidence.
Encouraged by the experience and feedback from the first cohort, Triskele Labs is once again welcoming interns this year. The program will continue to provide real‑world exposure, expert mentorship, and meaningful project work, reinforcing our commitment to developing the next generation of cybersecurity talent.
Triskele Labs partners with universities to deliver a structured internship program designed to bridge academic study with real-world cybersecurity practice. Following a focused recruitment process, selected students are matched to teams and projects aligned to their skills and embedded within the business for the semester.
Rather than observing from the sidelines, interns actively contribute across Engineering, DFIR, Detection Engineering, Vulnerability Management, Automation, and AI. By combining real-world projects, expert mentorship, and an inclusive culture, the program equips interns with both technical capability and a clear sense of where they belong within the cybersecurity landscape.
This breadth of exposure enabled them to build highly relevant, job-ready skills within a single semester.
Beyond technical capability, the program also emphasised essential professional skills. Collaboration, communication, adaptability, and the ability to receive and apply feedback formed a critical part of the experience and reflect the realities of modern cybersecurity teams.
Every participant reported stronger direction and motivation towards a career in cybersecurity, particularly in SOC and DFIR roles. For some, the internship reinforced existing ambitions. For others, it provided clarity in a field that initially felt complex and overwhelming.
Direct exposure to tools such as SIEM platforms and attack frameworks helped interns better understand where their strengths aligned, turning uncertainty into confidence and enthusiasm for the industry.
When asked whether they would recommend the program, the response was unanimous. Interns consistently cited exposure to real projects, diverse learning opportunities, and access to highly knowledgeable professionals as standout benefits.
“This experience has hands down been the most practical source of learning and work.”
“I went from knowing almost nothing about attack frameworks, red-blue teaming, or detection tuning to understanding each in depth.”
“The wealth of knowledge here is absolutely insane.”
“I would wholeheartedly recommend it. The collaborative culture, shared vision and multicultural environment make it a fantastic place to grow. Plus, cybersecurity is only becoming more critical, so the experience you gain here will pay dividends in the years ahead.”
“You probably don’t understand just how valuable this is for university students trying to get their start in cybersecurity.”
